Meine Zahnbehandlung in der Klinik Hahs in Stettin (Polen) - My dental treatment in the clinic Hahs in Szczecin (Poland)

Also Mund auf, weiter geht’s.

My dental treatment in the clinic Hahs in Szczecin ( Poland)

In April 2011, I needed a dental treatment and turned me first to a German dentist. The treatment should last at least 6 weeks and expected to cost € 8,400 .

On the internet I discovered the Google ad Hahs the clinic in Szczecin (Poland):

Dental clinic for implant dentistry and orthodontics HAHS
ul Czwartakow 3, 70-774 Szczecin , Poland
Phone +4891 / 4614 318 Fax +4891 / 88 124 88

I contacted them , quickly got a treatment and cost plan that I presented to my health insurance company( Barmer ). Then I quickly got the green light ( health insurance also want to save money) . Quick organized Mr. Marcin Gaborski of the clinic Hahs, an appointment. Shortly thereafter, I went to Stettin.

The clinic makes a somewhat pompous impression many diplomas and awards are hanging in the stairway, otherwise it is bright, modern, with many treatment rooms, which could indicate a mass processing. I had asked for an English-speaking dentist and got Mrs Ewa Cichowska as a dentist . She did her work quickly without much to say what she was going to do before and without explanation. I would describe her English as deficient, often was an employee of the clinic to translate at her side .
Anyway, I sat on the first day four and a half hours in the chair and the following days, the treatment was very fast.

After two weeks I had my dentures top and bottom. The bottom did not fit properly. In the laboratory, the telescopic crowns were then expanded. A constant voltage was the result. They told me that it would be ok with the time.

The continuous voltage remained ..... about 5 months later, during a stay in southern Germany broke a crown back right. I went to the nearest dentist near Augsburg. He looked to the work and told me under 4 eyes that he would have delivered, even as a student, a better job. The dentist said that one should have a stabilizer bar in the root.

The denture didn't sit well and a tooth had inflamed gums. The upper dentures also did not sit properly. My health insurance ( Barmer ) refused any help and refused that I consult a trust dentist.

Since it was a warranty case, I quickly got an appointment at the clinic in Szczecin.
As soon as I sat on the stool, without big words and without a word of regret, cemented the dentist Mrs Cichowska quickly the broken crown again.
When I asked Mr Gaborski why the crown not have a stabilizing pin fixed, he replied if I wanted to give him a further education!

So open the mouth, here we go. That the patient is thinking, gathers information, research and manifests itself seems undesirable in the clinic Hahs.

The jiggling upper dentures was also relined.
Mr Hahs wanted to adopt me as I pointed out to him that my lower denture was sitting loose. He does not speak German, so translated an employee. He took them to the lab and returned fifteen minutes later with the prosthesis. At the prosthesis had little red plastic stopper mounted with small fixing screws.
Before that they had simply forgotten!

Me had always wondered that small holes were present on the prosthesis. I could not explain me what they were for until then.

A few days later (Thursday) I had to go back to the clinic because a tooth ache . The bite was not right. Mrs Cichowska grind on the teeth but it didn’t sit properly and finally gave up. Mr Hahs had to continue the treatment.

The desk clerk told me to wait until Monday, as Mr. Hahs was not in the clinic.
On Monday, he worked on my denture until it was good. A tooth, upper back is still sensitive to pain. Mr Gaborski translated .... Mr Hahs comforted me and said that it would go with time , which is not the case until now, October 2011!!!

                                             ********************************

My dental treatment cost about 7000 € + cost, lot of time, travel costs, stress and at the end no big savings.

                                             ********************************

Conclusion:
my teeth are aesthetically successful. With the lower solution however, I am not 100 % satisfied. I will look in the future for a better solution .

As for the patched crown, I hope that it holds for some time, and all else.

In between, I showed the work to a dental laboratory in Berlin. After their information cheap materials have been used.

                                            *********************************

Patients who go abroad for a dental treatment should be aware :
- That he has to pay the cost of treatment immediately ,
- That very few foreign dentists have a correspondence dentist in Germany,
- That one always has to drive or fly abroad in case of warranty, which costs time and money
- If gross errors are made, as good as there is no way legally to achieve anything .
- by the way, the mentality , the way of working and the communication abroad, there can be difficulties.
